  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan by lining it with parchment paper and greasing it lightly.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and butter. Stir constantly until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. If using nuts, fold them in now.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading evenly with a spatula.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. Once set, lift out using the parchment paper overhang.
  6. Cut into squares and serve.
