2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Cream Butter and Sugars: In another bowl, cream the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about three minutes).
Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla extract until fully blended.
Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and half of the salted caramel sauce.
Scoop & Bake: Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for about ten minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft.
Drizzle & Serve: Allow cookies to cool slightly before drizzling the remaining salted caramel sauce on top. Serve warm for maximum enjoyment!
