Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 2 cups fresh peaches (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix melted butter with warm water and add to the dry ingredients along with the beaten egg. Knead until smooth.
  2. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Meanwhile, mix chopped peaches with sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
  4. Once risen, roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter over it, then evenly distribute the peach filling. Roll tightly into a log shape and slice into thick pieces.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place slices upright in greased muffin tins and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
