3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk (110°F)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast; let it sit for about five minutes until foamy.
In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the dry ingredients; stir until combined.
Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead for about five minutes until smooth. Shape into a ball and place in a greased bowl; cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
While your dough rises, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl until it forms a paste.
Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about half an inch thick.
Spread the cinnamon filling evenly across the dough’s surface.
Roll tightly from one end to another and cut into equal slices (about two inches each). Place cut-side-up in a greased baking dish.
Allow to rise again for about thirty minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for around twenty-five minutes or until golden brown.
While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
