Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp butter. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pan. Simmer until reduced slightly (about 2 minutes).
  4. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for another 3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Slice the rested steak against the grain and return to the skillet with sauce, tossing gently to coat.
  7. Serve on plates with extra sauce drizzled on top.
