Ingredients
Scale
3–4 pounds pork shoulder
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare Your Meat: Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks for even cooking.
Season Generously: In a bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and brown sugar. Rub this seasoning all over the meat until thoroughly coated.
Place in Slow Cooker: Put the seasoned chunks into your slow cooker. Pour the BBQ sauce evenly over the top.
Set It and Forget It: Cover and set your slow cooker to low for about 8 hours or high for about 4 hours.
Shred That Pork: Once cooked, carefully remove the meat using tongs or two forks. Shred it and mix back in some of the cooking liquid for extra flavor.
Serve With Style: Transfer to plates or buns as desired, drizzling with additional BBQ sauce if you like.
