  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef sirloin against the grain into thin strips. Chop the onion and slice the mushrooms.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef in batches and sear until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add chopped onion; sauté until translucent. Then add mushrooms and cook until golden brown.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for one minute. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
  5. Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring continuously until smooth. Return seared beef to the skillet with Worcestershire sauce; let simmer for about ten minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until fully incorporated.
  7. Serve over egg noodles or rice.
