Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups jasmine or basmati rice
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, lightly blanched

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions. Set aside.
  2. Thinly slice the steak against the grain into strips about half an inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, combine steak strips with teriyaki sauce. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil. Add marinated steak strips along with any remaining marinade. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until desired doneness.
  5. In another pan, stir-fry bell peppers and broccoli until vibrant and crisp, around 3 minutes.
  6. Start with a scoop of warm rice in each bowl. Top with cooked steak, stir-fried veggies, sesame seeds, and green onions. Drizzle additional teriyaki sauce if desired.
