  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced into thin strips
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for sautéing)
  • Lettuce leaves for wrapping

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak into thin strips and marinate with soy sauce, minced garlic, and rice vinegar for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the marinated beef for about 5–7 minutes until browned. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the vegetables: julienne the carrots and slice the cucumber.
  4. On a large lettuce leaf, layer cooked beef, carrots, cucumbers, and basil leaves. Roll tightly from one end to another, securing with toothpicks if needed.
  5. Serve with a dipping sauce made of soy sauce and rice vinegar.
