  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 68 tbsp ice water
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup diced ham or cooked vegetables

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and salt; add cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water until dough forms. Wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch thick; cut into rectangles (3×5 inches).
  4. Place half on the baking sheet, fill with cheese and ham or vegetables, leaving edges clear.
  5. Top with remaining rectangles; seal edges with a fork.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
