One-Pan Honey BBQ Chicken & Rice is a quick and delicious meal featuring juicy chicken and fluffy rice, all enveloped in a sweet and tangy sauce—perfect for busy evenings.

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare a large oven-safe skillet by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray. Place the chicken breasts evenly in the pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix together honey and BBQ sauce until well combined. Pour half of this mixture over the chicken.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the long grain white rice over the chicken. Carefully pour chicken broth around (not directly on) the rice.
  5. Sprinkle garlic powder and onion powder over everything and gently stir to combine flavors.
  6. Cover the pan with foil and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove the foil, drizzle with remaining sauce, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and rice is fluffy.
