Ingredients
Scale
1 lb beef flank steak
1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 green onions, sliced
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 cup water
Instructions
Slice the beef flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and cornstarch. Toss in the beef strips until evenly coated. Marinate for 30 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef strips in a single layer and cook until browned on each side (about 3 minutes per side).
In another bowl, whisk together water and additional cornstarch until smooth. Pour this mixture over the cooked beef along with any remaining marinade. Stir gently as it heats until thickened.
