1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons matcha powder
8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1 large egg
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter with the semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth. Let cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and brown sugar with the warm chocolate mixture, stirring until fully combined.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Gently fold in all-purpose flour until just combined.
In another bowl, beat together cream cheese and matcha powder until smooth. Mix in one egg until well incorporated.
Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Spoon dollops of the matcha cheesecake mixture over it, then pour the remaining brownie batter on top. Use a knife to swirl gently.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing into squares.
