  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar; sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Mix in eggs.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Fold in dried fruits evenly.
  5. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough gently, shape into a loaf or braid, and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
