  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 24 oz canned tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook the gnocchi in salted boiling water until they float (about 2 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion in olive oil until translucent. Add garlic and ground beef; cook until browned. Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Combine cooked gnocchi with bolognese sauce thoroughly.
  5. Layer half of the gnocchi mixture in the baking dish, top with half of the mozzarella, then add the remaining mixture followed by the rest of the mozzarella and parmesan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
