  • 1/2 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 cups tart apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 tbsp milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold this mixture into the dry ingredients.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped apples until just combined.
  5. Scoop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. While the fritters cool slightly, mix the glaze ingredients in a bowl until smooth and drizzle over the warm fritters.
