Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks (6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring the steaks to room temperature and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp of butter.
  3. Once melted, add the seasoned steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter.
  6. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in beef broth, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the pan, then bring to a simmer.
  8. Stir in heavy cream and allow to heat through.
  9. Add freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth; adjust seasoning if necessary.
  10. Slice rested steak against the grain into strips.
  11. Drizzle garlic cream sauce over the steak before serving.
