Ingredients
Scale
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract until well combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
Let cookies cool on baking sheets for one minute before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
