1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup whole milk (warmed)
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
Instructions
Gather Your Ingredients – Assemble all ingredients on your countertop for easy access.
Mix Dry Ingredients – In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt until well combined.
Add Wet Ingredients – Pour the warmed milk and melted butter into the dry mixture. Stir gently until a shaggy dough forms.
Knead the Dough – Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise – Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
Shape Your Loaf – Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to a lightly floured surface. Shape it into a rectangle and roll tightly into a log. Place in a greased loaf pan.
Second Rise – Cover again and let rise for another hour until puffy.
Bake Your Creation – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
Cool Before Slicing – Remove from oven, cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
