1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tsp chili powder
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onion until golden brown.
In a large pot or slow cooker, combine drained kidney beans and pinto beans with sautéed onions.
Stir in barbecue sauce, brown sugar, mustard, and chili powder until well incorporated.
Cover and let simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes on the stovetop or cook on low in the slow cooker for about two hours.
