Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts (toasted)
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the flank steak by combining olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add the steak and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, blend basil leaves, toasted pine nuts, parmesan cheese, and garlic until finely chopped. Gradually add olive oil until smooth; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F). Clean and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Grill the flank steak for 4-5 minutes per side or until it reaches an internal temperature of 135°F for medium-rare. Let it rest before slicing.
  5. Slice against the grain, plate beautifully, top with burrata and pesto, and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
