  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Crush soft pretzels into coarse crumbs and mix them with panko breadcrumbs in a bowl.
  3. Whisk the eggs in another bowl to create an egg wash.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the egg wash, then coat thoroughly in the pretzel-panko mixture.
  5. Place coated chicken in the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of at least 165°F).
  6. For the sauce, heat heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in Dijon mustard and cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Serve drizzled over chicken.
